5 Things You Can Do To Have Fun at a Wedding

Sure, the ceremony is the most important part of your big day, but the reception is what your guests are most looking forward to. Here are some tips to make your reception fun and engaging for your guests!

The great thing about photo booths, is that they double as a fun activity for your guests and a souvenir! Photo booths are a great way to get your guests up and moving. They allow your guests to break out of their shell and dress up in silly disguises with one another. Typically, photo booth companies will help to customize your photo strip background to match the theme of your wedding day. Not only will your guests have fun, but just a few seconds after they take their pictures, they can have a memory to take with them to last a lifetime.  If you’re feeling up to it, you can give your try at a DIY photobooth, too!

Games are a great way to get your guests up and interacting and they make for great photo opportunities. Lawn games have been gaining popularity for those who have outdoor weddings. Some lawn games include cornhole, horseshoes, ladder toss, jenga, ring toss, and so many more! Some other games that are fun for weddings both indoors and outdoors, include mad libs, the shoe game, puzzles, and board games. Your guests will have great time with lots of laughs. Games get everyone up and moving and enjoying the special day they came to celebrate.

Build Your Own Snack Bars

A great way to entertain your guests is to have a build your own snack bar. Guests can be endlessly entertained with a build your own snack bar, maybe even returning for seconds! You can even customize the snacks to be items that represent you and your new partner’s love for one another. Some popular snack bars includes a S’mores bar, popcorn bar, an antipasti platter, or a mashed potatoe bar.  And of course, who doesn’t love a candy bar, especially when it’s color coordinated and filled with all different goodies. Snack bars are a great way to let your guests choose different items they may want to have for their dessert.

Are you inviting kids to the wedding? Wedding’s can get boring for kids and they can get restless, especially when they don’t have anything to entertain them. So why not entertain them at a Kids Table! Not only are the kids distracted with coloring or toys, but they can play with other children at the wedding and the parents can be stress free and enjoy their time at the wedding.

Hire a caricaturist


Everyone loves getting themselves drawn in a silly way. A caricaturist is a great ice breaker and is fun for all ages. Not only will your guests have a good time, but they will leave with a cherish memento of your special day. You could even ask your caricaturist to add a little note at the bottom to thank your guests for sharing the day with you.
