The privilege of planning Lily & Jay‘s wedding is an experience I will never forget. Getting to know and become friends with your clients during such an intimate season of their life is truly an honor. And when their wedding day is over and they are now newlyweds, there is certainly a bit of wistfulness. Missing the every day communication made with your new friends. This is how I feel about my time with Lily & Jay.
Boston was the location decided on for Lily & Jay‘s gorgeous day. Having spent time in Boston during law school, the location was a sentimental place for Lillian. Their ceremony took place at the at the historic Saint Cecilia’s Parish and the reception and celebration at the historic Lenox Hotel. The bridal party photos and portraits were taken at the gorgeous Boston Commons.
The celebration was full of purely elegant pops of gold, soft pink and white; A true timeless romantic affair. There was so much love to go around the room and it was a pleasure to see the many of Lily + Jay’s friends support them as they’d all supported other friends in their group in their own wedding days. So many #goodpeople.
There we special touches honoring Lily’s Tanzanian heritage with a Tanzianian singer- what amazing dances! And Lily surprised her groom with his favorite, a declcious pecan pie!
